WHAT’S UP?
What’s in a NAME? - Confusion reigns—we’ve been suffering from a bit of an Identity crisis—we’ve been called “MOMO”, “Speedy Wheels”, “Concorde Trading” and more recently are you the “Superlite Guys”!
In order to better reflect our core business with immediate effect our company will be now known as “WHOLESALE WHEELS DIRECT” and we will answer the phone as simply “WHOLESALE WHEELS”. We are the home of PERFORMANCE WHEELS and SPEEDY WHEELS!
October sees the introduction of a new “realigned” Price List for SPEEDY WHEELS. We are pleased to advise that on the back of both favourable exchange rates and plenty of “arm twisting” with Greg Russell the MD of SPEEDY WHEELS—we have introduced a NEW WHOLESALE Price List, which also means new TRADE and DEALER price lists. Speedy has never been MORE competitively priced!
So we have a great product with the best Warranty in the Wheel industry—and now at new reduced prices—that’s got to be good news all round.
PERFORMANCE WHEELS continues to grow and we are adding more and more stock lines so we are able to better serve the needs of our customers.
We now arrange a shipment collection every 10 days or so and we have received great service from Nick Cutler and Alexis from Burnard International—who through Clint  based in Adelaide do a great job in getting wheels to us on time and undamaged! I’d also like to thank Bullet Freight for the way they look after us too. These are great New Zealand companies.
STEEL KINGS—We’ve put together an order of Specialist Steel Wheels to add to our DESERT RAT range (we realigned Steel Wheel prices too!).
These special wheels include 15X10 & 16X10 6 Stud (6/139) super negative offset (44N) for serious off-roaders. 15X8 for Land Rover, 15X8 24N for Jeep Wrangler plus 15X7 ET0 for STOCK CARS (fully seam welded and approved by NZ Stock Car Association).

CRUISING ALONG WITH SPEEDY—HOLDEN CRUZE
The new Holden Cruze is creating some wheel headaches due to its unus ual wheel application. Speedy have been quick to respond and have already come up with wheel solutions for Petrol Models (PCD 5/105) and Diesel Models (PCD 5/115). Wheels available are COBALT and new LEGEND in 16X6.5, RAZOR in 17X7.5 and 18X7.5 and SIROCCO in 17X7.

PERFORMANCE WHEELS—the custom wheel specialists
NZ Inventory increasing ….. Now that we are getting the hang of it—we’re increasing our inventory.
You can expect us to have the following in stock:
Superlites—10X5, 12X5, 13X7—all MINI drilled and ready to go in both PLATINUM and CHARCOAL.
15X6 and 15X7 4/108 ET13 for all early Escort, Cortina etc in both PLATINUM and CHARCOAL.
Challenger—15X8 Ford—we carry both PLATINUM and CHARCOAL.
What about just carrying “BLANK” Wheels?
We’ve been working on this aspect, however currently we have rejected this—why?
1. Getting wheels drilled is expensive—we can’t find an engineer who will drill the holes for under about $7.00 per hole—so this adds around $35.00 COST PER WHEEL!
2. Performance Wheels know what they are doing so they drill the right seats, tapers and angles on a per wheel basis! A much better way to go we believe.
3. No Warranty issues if everything is DONE properly at the FACTORY.
4. No repeated handling of wheels—in the box—out of the box and drilled—all adding to the risk of damage.
All in all we believe the system we are operating is the best currently available.
OUR COMMITMENT
1. Orders close off at the factory every second Friday—this ensures a 30 day turnaround which is our OBJECTIVE.
2. Once you sign off on a specific order we send it to Tracey at Performance in Adelaide EVERY NIGHT.
3. Airfreight for urgent delivery—we are working with our freight partners to provide a special AIR COURIER Service—which will provide:
a) 7 day turnaround
b) Delivery door to door i.e. to your door!
c) Is as “cheap” as we can get it—so if it’s urgent we will deliver!

PITCH CIRCLE DIAMETER
How do I measure the PCD? If you don’t know it or you haven’t got a PCD gauge?
The PCD of a wheel refers to the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the entre of the nut/stuff holes in the mounting face of the wheel. An example of a PCD is 5/120, where 5 indicates the number of holes (for studs/nuts) and 120, a diameter of 120mm.
What say we don’t know much about the car? If in doubt ask for our Measurement Sheet and complete all the sections—we will then send it straight to the experts—Ed at Performance Wheels and Geoff at Speedy Wheels—what they don’t know about Wheels isn’t worth knowing!

FEEDBACK
Harman Motors have specialised in Fiat and Bambina parts and servicing for the last 40 years and stock most parts for Bambinas. This Fiat 500 is having a full bare metal restoration. Harman Motors have done all the mechanical work, including reconditioning and fitting a larger 650cc engine, changed hubs etc., to allow fitting these fantastic mag wheels, new brakes etc. The paint is a p earl white which is really set off by the wheels.

About three years ago I had an idea, to take an early 90's Twin Turbo GTO and re-build it with modern Style and technology, the problem being I didn't want it to look Modified, I wanted it to look “from factory”, this meant all the materials and products used had to integrate seamlessly with the original parts of the vehicle, while the exterior styling was no problem with just a few minor tweaks the interior was a totally different kettle of fish, very, very dated. So the question was “How to update the interior while keeping it looking factory?”, the answer being a full accompaniment of MOMO Accessories supplied by Dominic at Wholesale Wheels Direct. The top grain leather of the Millenium Evo Steering wheel, Performance Boot and Combat Evo Carbon Gear Knob matches seamlessly with the dash and lightweight leather race seats creating a truly outstanding look of quality, comfort and style.  Beven Wright from Wright Applications sent us these pictures of his fantastic MINI COOPER fitted with 13X7 Superlites and SIME 175/50R13 tyres. He is looking to take the Cooper out to the track for some Classic Racing this season … he even mentioned the dreaded “S” word to us!
